Why this product

A construction business needs a reliable view of what happened on site, who is responsible, which plans are current and what needs attention — without searching across messages and spreadsheets.

My approach

I connect planning, field reporting and approvals in a role-based product. The workflow starts with a real operational question: what was completed today, by which team, and what evidence supports the progress?

Core workflows

A practical daily overview

Priorities, open issues, reports awaiting approval and teams that have not submitted their daily report.

Field reporting on mobile

A two-step report for activity, quantity, hours and people, with an optional photo and a review before submission.

Planning and verified progress

Stages and sub-stages, task assignments, milestones, priorities and Gantt views. Approved quantities update project progress.

Plans and revisions

Plans attached to the relevant stage, revision history, acknowledgement and checks before approval.

People and resources

Administrator, project manager, site supervisor, subcontractor and worker roles, project permissions, time records, employee requests and equipment custody.

Search inside documents

PDF text extraction and local OCR for scanned documents. Results point back to the original document and page.

Project journals

PDF journals, photographs and configurable reporting. Drawn signatures are images, rather than qualified electronic signatures.

AI & automation

The pilot includes LangChain document splitting and an OpenAI embeddings integration, plus a PostgreSQL/pgvector adapter. Semantic search and natural-language voice features need the corresponding services and server-side credentials. Access filtering must apply before retrieval and again when results are delivered.

Product & technology

Next.js, React, Node.js, LangChain, OCR / Tesseract, OpenAI integration, PostgreSQL / pgvector adapter.

A pilot with fictional demonstration data. External AI, SMTP, push delivery and PostgreSQL/pgvector require configuration and validation. Before confidential client documents or SaaS deployment at scale, private file storage, database structure, restoration testing and independent security review still need to be completed.
